Who we are
Zainab Zifnaas Qur'an Academy is an online Qur’an and Islamic education academy based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, teaching students worldwide. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean the academy. You can contact us at zainabzifnaas@gmail.com or on +94 78 143 0592.
What we collect
When you complete the enquiry form on this website, we collect only what we need in order to arrange your class:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your country dialling code and WhatsApp or phone number
- Your country and preferred class times
- The student’s gender, so that a female teacher can be arranged where required
- Whether you want individual or group classes, and your preferred class length
- The course you are interested in, and anything you choose to tell us in the message field
If you contact us by WhatsApp or email instead, we hold that conversation in the ordinary way.
Why we collect it
Solely to respond to your enquiry, arrange your trial class and, if you continue, to teach and schedule your classes. We do not sell, rent or share your details with third parties for marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list without you asking.
Analytics and cookies
This website uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find us. It records anonymised information such as pages viewed, approximate country and the type of device used. It does not identify you personally. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
You can block cookies through your browser settings at any time; the site will continue to work normally.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to classes are deleted within twelve months. Records for current and former students are kept while they are needed for teaching and normal administration.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to zainabzifnaas@gmail.com and we will act on your request.
Children
Where classes are for a child, we deal with the parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page. Please check it from time to time.
